Introduction of the Advisory Board of WECONNEX
Since the very beginning of WECONNEX, the company can bank on the experience of a diversified advisory board which is helping in suggestions, consulting, network and ideas. But also more than once the board has raised critical questions which lead to a change in the strategy of the company. We are very pleased to have the following personalities on the Advisory Board:
Dr. Christoph Sievers
Dr. Christoph Sievers has a background in business and economics and can look back on many years of experience in international insurance. Christoph worked for SwissRe in Asia for many years and then built Swiss Export Risk Insurance(SERV) as its director. Mr. Sievers is now a leading partner at Consulting Group Zurich, where he has gained a profound knowledge of companies in the international arena. With his widespread relationship network, practical mandate coverage and the great experience, Christoph often sees himself as a „wise conscience“ of WECONNEX AG.
Susanne Grossmann
Susanne Grossmann is co-manager of the SECO Start-up Fund, an instrument of Swiss development cooperation for the co-financing of start-up companies in developing and transition countries. In addition, Mrs. Grossmann runs the private Dalyan Foundation, which is committed to improving the lives of women, children and young people in Turkey and India. Susanne Grossmann began her career at a Swiss bank and changed to the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs in 1995, where she worked until 2004, from 1999 onwards with a focus on the promotion of the private sector in developing and emerging countries. From 2004 to 2007 Susanne Grossmann was a member of the management of the Swiss Organization for Facilitating Investments (SOFI), an institution for the promotion of private investment in developing and emerging countries, followed by a private equity firm specializing in India until 2014. Susanne Grossmann holds a Master’s degree in History and Business at the University of Zurich and holds a post-graduate degree in European Integration from the University of Basel.
Nikolaus Hutter
Nikolaus Hutter is the Founder of New Paradigm Ventures, an advisory firm focused on accelerating the shift to an impact driven economy. He serves as an Advisor on Impact Ventures & Investment to the WWF in Switzerland, as a Director for impact investment firm Angello Capital Ltd in the UK, and on the Board of Heifer International in the US.
Together with Impact Hub Vienna, he co-founded the Investment Ready Program, an accelerator for social innovators, and the CEE Impact Day, an annual gathering for impact investors and social innovators in CEE. Prior, he led the impact investor network Toniic in Europe, and worked in the VC industry for over a decade.
According to his experience, Nikolaus is very valuable sparring partner for WECONNEX in financing questions.
Prof. Dr. Lukas Schmid
Lukas Schmid completed his training at the ETH in Zurich in physics in 2006 and then promoted in the field of business management at the University of St.Gallen in 2012. After a few intermediate positions at the Fachhochschule St.Gallen, he took over the management of the Institute for Innovation, Design and Engineering (IDEE) in 2014. The business focus accompanied Lukas Schmid through his entire career up to now, starting with his own entrepreneurial experience at a young age and the practical support of various companies in innovation management. His competences in complexity management and trend research as well as the applied innovation management fit perfectly into the activity profile of WECONNEX AG.
We thank the whole Advisory Board for their continuous efforts to bring WECONNEX forward. It is a pleasure to work with such highly motivated and top qualified specialists! Thank you!
